Football Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game victorious run was ended by Sunderland prior to the global hiatus, but will the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a range of guests.

For week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

The singer's new record, Knees Up, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a talented soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not intending a serious return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity match the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not push football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday football side," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our team for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for their star's comeback from injury but their attack is now more potent with Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be quite tight, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' sole away win this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest coach.

So, what on earth do I predict here - can West Ham extending their streak under their manager, or the home side responding?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the season started, but they have impressed a few people under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their last four matches.

A family member told me to select Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had much success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are consistently decent at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

Olly's view: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually turns out to be rather close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.

Fulham have have plenty of quality in their squad but it still seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed any other team rough up the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the close of last month.

But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to carry on going against the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they evidently love to prove me wrong.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole team they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad run... but Fulham have still been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough fixture to call. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
