President Trump announced on Sunday that he has invited the relatives of a Guard member killed last week to visit the executive mansion.

He noted that he conversed with her family and they were “deeply grieving”.

Specialist Beckstrom, twenty years old, was fatally shot in a violent incident on Wednesday in DC.

Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, remains hospitalized in grave state.

The commander-in-chief explained he’s talked about a visit to the White House for the loved ones of both members of the state Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a tough thing, come to the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to her,” Trump addressed reporters. “And likewise with Andrew, recover or not.”

Public Reaction

Community members gathered over the weekend at Webster County high school in the state to remember Beckstrom.

Both she and Wolfe had been working with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s government program to assist law enforcement in DC.

Honoring the Soldier

“Sarah was the kind of student that teachers hoped for. She carried herself with inner fortitude, a bright grin and a upbeat demeanor that inspired people around her,” Hankins, the principal of her previous school, informed the press. “She was kind, caring and always eager to assist people.”

Service plans for Beckstrom are yet to be finalized.

Authorities have indicted a 29-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of murder and two counts of violent assault while armed.

The event prompted the administration to halt refugee claims and halt issuing visas to owners of passports from Afghanistan.

Status of Andrew Wolfe

Wolfe, a native of the city, enlisted in February 2019 and is a graduate of his local high school, per the news agency.

He remains under medical supervision and is “fighting for his life”, West Virginia leader Morrisey stated on television.

Attorney general Bondi told a news show that she also intended to meet with Wolfe’s family.

Legacy of the Fallen Soldier

Sarah, from Summersville, completed her education from her high school in 2023 and joined the military shortly after, serving as a law enforcement officer with excellence, as stated by the state guard.

“She had a lot of compassion and she definitely had bravery,” Morrisey informed the gathering at the memorial. “Though her life ended too soon, she has made an impact that’s going to be remembered always.”
